Because it's Friday: Time Lapse Views from Space

Last night I was flying back home and the skies were clear. I love to watch the street-lights snaking all over the country accompanied by the movement of vehicles. It’s great fun trying to identify some of the locations as we passed over them.

Returning to a theme from a few weeks ago here are some absolutely fabulous time-lapse videos of the earth taken from the International Space Stations.

I wonder how many places you recognise:

  1. I have watched this a few times since it was released and it still amazes me. Anything space related just fascinates me. even more so now I have managed to acquire a telescope.

With all the billions of stars out there, each with planets there must be other life there. Amazing too that the light we are seeing from some of the stars was when the Earth was inhabited be dinosaurs.

    Mind boggling.

Also good news that the Soyuz transport ship successfully launched and docked with the ISS. If they hadn’t then the station would have had to be vacated in a few days.
