I have some friends who, when they were a bit younger, used to do pretty extreme unicycling.
They even appeared on local television showing their prowess at getting to the top of a local hill and beauty spot.
But they never did anything quite as extreme as this:
When I was younger skateboards were cool, only young kids (and girls) had scooters.
Somewhere along the way scooters became cool, perhaps it’s because they stopped being huge bulky things and people started doing tricks like these:

There is much debate in my home town about what should happen to the bus station.
To some it is a striking example of brutalist architecture for which every effort to preserve it should be taken.
To others it’s an expensive mess that needs replacing with something more useful.
To someone else it’s the inspiration for a LEGO train station.
I’m not going to comment about which side of the debate my personal sentiments are placed, but I do have to say that if the interior of Preston Bus Station looked anything like as smart as the inside of this LEGO one there wouldn’t be much debate:

Over the next few weeks I’m planning to highlight the run up to Christmas.
The Nutcracker Suite has become regarded as a traditional Christmas tune. Getting a note out of a glass is another thing that, in our house anyway, seems to occur over the Christmas period. Here’s a video that puts the two together, but in a much better way than I could ever achieve:

(I always chuckle a bit when I see someone on YouTube declare something as the World’s Biggest/Longest/etc. – how can they know? When they’re in the Guinness Book of World Records then I’ll believe them)
I live at the edge of a city not far from a motorway so my ability to fully appreciate the night sky is limited, but the view from our back garden is still good enough to make me wonder at the majesty of it.
