Because it’s Friday: Aerial 3D Panoramas

I remember the days when we used to marvel at the clarity of pictures in 256 colours, then we moved to thousands and millions of colours. Then we started representing things in 3D.

AirPano.com is a project that takes areal pictures of places, moulds them into a 3D space and lets you fly around them.

Some of my favourites:

Venice, Italy:

The Matterhorn, Switzerland:

Angel Waterfall of Venezuela:

Moai Statues, Easter Island, Chile

Or take your pick from their world map.
