Agree – I’m really looking forward to it too, I think Martin Freeman will make an excellent Bilbo with just the right amount of ‘fun’ the character needs in the prequel against the more stuffy Thorin. I do think many Lord of the Rings fans may be disappointed by the lack of mass-battle scenes, but hopefully this will allow for far more character/storyline “trueness” that I think was missing at times in LOTR (for obvious reasons, and I never liked the whole Tom Bombadil bits anyway!)

  The Hobbit will definitely be more of an acting challenge. Very little slow motion and large creatures to hide behind.
