First published in 1994 the “Complete Lakeland Fells” defines a set of 541 peaks and 129 walks. Many of these hills overlap with the 214 peaks of defined by Wainwright, but there are plenty of different ones to make it an interesting challenge to complete them all.
The fells are more commonly known as the Birketts after the author Bill Birkett.
Below are a set of walks where I’ve tried to follow the route defined in the original book. It’s not always possible to follow the route exactly, but I’ve done my best to try.
