IT Power Consumpton

Jonathan Schwartz talks to the issue of IT power consumption particularly in the data centre. In true American fashion his main reasoning is the cost of oil and the cost of real estate. The environment gets a tiny mention;  even tinier than his dig at Dell and their delivery of servers that consume huge amounts of power.

Even so, an industry wide initiative to reduce power and heat would be most welcome.
