Not only are my feeds broke, my facebook is offline too.
At least it’s only temporary.
Feed Broken – Pointless Post
The feeds on this site are broken at the moment. I feel the need to write this information down, but it seems like a completely pointless thing to do. If you use a feed then you won’t get to read this post and if you don’t use a feed then you don’t care whether it is broken or not.
It’s a strange fault so I’m not sure where the problem lies, but I am endeavouring to find out.
A Pastor, A Wife, Four Children and Terminal Cancer
In March I wrote a post highlighting the plight of some close friends of ours. Chris Drury is one of the Pastors at our church, his wife Linda is very ill with terminal cancer, they have four children, all at primary school.
Linda is now in a hospice and these are critical times. Chris continues to write about the situation as it gets steadily tougher. The times are difficult, but still Chris writes:
A friend stopped me in the playground last week to ask me how I cope. I was able to share with her how, although things are tough and painful, I have learnt to trust God increasingly over the last 18-years and how, as Linda and I have been able to face her death together, I have discovered a real, tangible sense of peace coming from a real assurance. After all, if this “God stuff” is true, and the significant historical, scientific, and experiential evidence says it is, then it is possible to face this with strength, and for Linda this is just the beginning.
